Marlo made a deep plunge into the local entertainment industry after he auditioned for “The X Factor Philippines” in 2012. Shortly after, he was cast as Nicolo Angelo Cortez in the daytime series “Be Careful with My Heart.” Since then, a "loveteam" has been formed between him and co-star Janella Salvador, and together they headlined the daytime series “Oh My G!” in 2015. Apart from singing, he likewise showcased his skills in hosting as one of the segment hosts of “Umagang Kay Ganda.” He counts several awards under his sleeves including New Movie Actor of the Year in the 32nd PMPC Star Awards for Movies in 2016 and Best Music Video and Best Inspirational Song Recognition for “I Pray” in the 41st Catholic Mass Media Awards in 2019.
