Diether Ocampo became a household name as one of the five members of The Hunks, a popular, hunky all-male ABS-CBN group in the early 2000s. His career in the network started in 1995 after auditioning for a talent search and eventually being launched as part of Star Circle Batch 2 in 1996 alongside Carlo Aquino, Patrick Garcia, Jolina Magdangal, and Angelica Panganiban, among others. From being a matinee idol, Diether garnered his leading man status by being part of some of the most iconic Kapamilya soaps such as “Mula sa Puso,” “Saan Ka Man Naroroon,” and “Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin” with Claudine Barretto. He was also Kristine Hermosa’s leadingman in the soaps“Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas” and “‘Till Death Do Us Part.” He was recently part of the Kapamilya primetime soap “Huwag Kang Mangamba” as Samuel Cordero. Apart from acting, Diether also serves as Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary as a Lieutenant Commander.
