Aya Fernandez was first a beauty queen and a dancer before she became known as an actress. As the Mutya ng Pilipinas 2018 -Tourism International titleholder, Aya has been active in pushing for various advocacies. Prior to being part of showbiz Aya has put up Project Lily — a livelihood enterprise operated by Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) who make sustainable charcoal from water hyacinth, coconut husks, and other agri-forest wastes. Aya also counts becoming a MYX VJ as one of her achievements. Her venture into the small screen part of the primetime soaps “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin” and “Viral Scandal” have all been notably well-received. In Cinemalaya 2023, she became well-known for portraying Jana Ramos as volleyball team captain in the film Rookie.
