From reliving a Working Mom magazine photoshoot with his mom when he was still a baby to signing with Star Magic, Robbie Jaworski calls the turn of events in his life a surreal ride.
“I’d be lying if I’d say I wasn’t nervous,” he confesses. “Pero sa tingin ko, mas okay na rin na ninenerbyos ako ’cause I think I am conscious and I care. I think as much as anyone, I want to be able to go through the couple of months smoothly.”
In 2014, during a family basketball outing, he had a chance encounter with talent manager Monch Novales from Star Magic. Though that sparked an interest in showbiz, it was not enough to ignite a fire in him. Flash forward to 2023, Robbie decided to step into the spotlight after meeting his parents’ requirement: for him to finish his studies.
The little boy, Robbie, has always appreciated the entertainment scene. He grew up binging on classics like Darna, Budoy, and even Pinoy Big Brother. Like many, Robbie’s a movie buff, citing the historical film, General Luna and the musical film Ang Larawan as must-watches.
More recently, he’s been hooked on Can’t Buy Me Love, starring Belle Mariano and his high school buddy Donny Pangilinan. Robbie shared how happy and proud he is of Donny and his growth as an actor.
“The level of how moving his performance is from the first [episode] up to the last,” he shares with admiration, talking about Can’t Buy Me Love. “I enjoy the storyline very much, the combination of the characters and how they complement each other and the story. Very good show for me.”
Robbie, who will take on the role of a MYX VJ, hopes to work with Donny. He would like to collaborate with and learn from him considering that he is one of the well-known young actors today and has been in the industry for years.
“I feel like it would be a privilege for me to learn the tools of his trade. And let me experience na ‘Wow! Katrabaho ko ’yung kaibigan ko nu’ng high school.” It’s a “pinch-me moment” for him.
Whether rom-com, drama, or action, Robbie’s up for anything. Like John Wick, his favorite movie series starring Keanu Reeves, and Mission Impossible, he mentioned how much he liked the concept of Tom Cruise doing his own stunts and wished that maybe someday he could do it, too.
When it comes to her mom, Mikee Cojuangco-Jaworski, Robbie proudly wears the crown as her ultimate fanboy. For him, his mom isn’t just a role model—she’s the gold standard in the industry. But when asked to name other figures he admires, Robbie answers in general, preferring to focus on values.
“I do look to examples, ’yung mga may advocacy, ’yung mga nakakatulong din sa kanilang mga komunidad, ’yung mga may values, strong moral compass. Those are the people I look up to,” Robbie tells Metro.Style. “Because I feel that in a world that so many people and uncertainties, napakahalaga ng values ng isang tao and to keep that integrity even nobody is looking.
When he’s not in the spotlight, Robbie loves to unplug—literally. Camping trips and outdoor adventures keep him grounded. Plus, he’s all about giving back. As a business manager with the Junior Chamber International (JCI), a non-governmental organization, he’s helping build a youth center in Tarlac.
In his JCI role, Robbie oversees operations, drives revenue, markets strategies, and even focuses on service recover y. The cherry on top is seeing his team and employees grow, a feeling he calls incredibly fulfilling.
“I try to stay as hands-on as time allows,” Robbie shares. “I love the work, and I’m committed to keeping it up—even while navigating showbiz!”
As if that’s not impressive enough, Robbie also manages a hybrid setup for his hotel work. For 12 days a month, he’s out of town auditing finances, delivering supplies, and checking on projects. The rest of the time, you’ll find him glued to his laptop, managing operations remotely, all while shuffling between Manila and his budding showbiz career.
And the grind doesn’t stop there—Robbie is soaking up skills through workshops on acting, styling, digital PR, and anything that will help him grow as an artist.
“I’ve been learning so much and I am grateful for the experience. Because at the end of the day, I can develop what I know,” he says.
Robbie also shared how talking to people and doing presentations comes naturally to him, while he also shared that he doesn’t have any experience in hosting and is looking forward to learning the skill.
Robbie shares, “Based on my personality, as long as I do my homework, I will be able to host successfully. So I hope that in the next couple of weeks or months, I will develop that and we can be successful.”
When it comes to future projects, Robbie’s playing it coy. “Abangan na lang natin,” he teases. Robbie got Kapamilyas waiting on the edge of their seats.
What fires Robbie up the most? It’s the magic of performances that tug at heartstrings and leave lasting impressions. For him, showbiz is more than glitz and glamour—it’s a powerful stage to inspire and motivate. Add to that his love for the grind—the daily hustle, mastering the craft, and soaking up every lesson on the path to greatness.
As the eldest son of former actress-athlete Mikee Cojuangco-Jaworski and former professional basketball player Dodot Jaworski, Robbie has brains to match his charm, graduating from Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in Management.
From his deep-rooted love for nature to his dreams of action-packed roles, Robbie Jaworski isn’t just here to simply turn heads in a fleeting moment—he’s here to stay and revel in the adventure.
