MANILA — Star Magic has signed a new partnership with Sightlines Actors’ Space, meant to enhance acting workshops and nurture the next generation of talent.
Star Magic head Direk Lauren Dyogi formalized the partnership with representatives from Sightlines in a media conference on Wednesday in Quezon City.
“I think this is a technique (acting workshop) that will help you as a person. It’s encouraging enough na mga artista natin hindi lang gagaling na artista kundi maging mabuting tao, maging mabuting kapwa sa co-actors niya. So ‘yun ang gusto ko,” Dyogi said of their new initiative.
They also introduced a group of new artists from Sightlines, including Alecx Lorica, Vino Mabalot, Miah Canton, Teetin Villanueva, Meann Espinosa, Julia Santiago, Jude Hinumdum, Lance Reblando, and Vyen Villanueva.
These individuals are expected to benefit from the new collaborative workshops.
Sightlines Actors Space is an international acting school and creative hub for aspiring actors, offering acting and voice classes in Manila, Jakarta, and online for international participants.
With this new partnership, both organizations hope to create a supportive environment that encourages actors to explore their creativity and reach their artistic goals.
“Ultimately, we’re hoping for a long-term relationship and that more actors will … again feel safe to explore and to reach higher heights into their creative and artistic aspirations,” said Dyogi.
